MOBILE, Ala. — Johny Lynch recently looked out his window at 49ers headquarters and saw Jimmy Garoppolo complete a pass to Jerick McKinnon.
McKinnon was working with rehab coordinator Ryan Donahue and Garoppolo threw him the ball as he exited a weight room session.
“It just fired me up,” Lynch told local writers on Thursday at the Senior Bowl.
Both 49ers offensive cornerstones are chugging along through rehab, McKinnon from a torn ACL suffered in practice before last season and Garoppolo from his torn ACL suffered in Week 3 against the Chiefs. Lynch expects both to be ready for training camp in late July, and said that McKinnon is six weeks ahead of schedule in his rehab.
