John Lynch calls Bosa’s ankle injury “significant”

San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch joined KNBR to discuss some of the injuries that happened Wednesday, and one of the main talking points was the health status of first-round pick Nick Bosa. Lynch said that Bosa’s ankle sprain is more significant than the earlier report suggested. He said it’s the “dreaded high-ankle sprain.” Gulp.

Lynch also said Bosa doesn’t have a “full-blown” high ankle sprain, but there are “elements” of that injury. When talking about the play, and if Bosa is injury prone, Lynch said “a big human being” fell on Bosa’s leg while he was engaged with someone else on an outside zone to the right side during Wednesday’s practice.
