Take heart, Tom Brady, your boyhood hero isn’t appalled by the thought of a quarterback deflating a football to gain an edge.
In fact, Joe Montana said he would have considered doing the same thing during his Hall-of-Fame career.
“I wish I’d known (it could make a difference) because I couldn’t throw a wet ball to save my life,” Montana said to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “Heck, I would’ve thought about (deflating the ball), sure.”
Brady, of course, has been suspended for the first four games of the 2015 season and the Patriots have been fined $1 million and stripped of two draft picks because Brady allegedly told team employees to deflate footballs before a win over the Colts in the AFC Championship Game in January.
