KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The 49ers lost to the Chiefs, 38-27, on Sunday, but their biggest loss might have come before the defeat became official.
With just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sustained a knee injury at the end of a 13-yard run.
Garoppolo eventually limped to the sideline and briefly sat on the bench and spoke with two members of the medical staff.
