Today marks another big day for San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. In February, Garoppolo signed a five year contract that secured him $48.7 million in fully guaranteed money. The deal included a $7 million signing bonus, and a $28 million roster bonus. While the signing bonus was paid immediately, the roster bonus was not due until the third day of the new league year, per Field Yates.
Guess what day it is?
At 1 p.m. PT, Garoppolo will receive $28 million from the 49ers, netting him $35 million so far this offseason.
