Following a flight back to the Bay Area on Saturday night, Jim Tomsula had a chance to watch film and assess his team's 23-10 loss to the Houston Texans.
With a better view of what took place on the field, the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers shared his thoughts on his preseason debut as the franchise's head coach.
"In general, we went into this thing with a list of objectives," Tomsula told reporters to start a Sunday afternoon conference call. "I wanted to make sure that we met them."
Other than the end result, Tomsula said he was pleased with the on-field communication between players and coaches, the reps that were divided between first, second, and third-team players, plus the different personnel combinations that were evaluated on the field.
