On Monday, ESPN put out its annual rankings, where they poll executives, coaches, and scouts around the NFL to come up with the top ten players at each position. San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey came in at No. 1.
Today, we’re onto defensive tackles. It’s a position the 49ers have consistently invested in under John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan. Day 1 picks include DeForest Buckner and Javon Kinlaw. There was a holdover, Arik Armstead, who ended up playing up to his draft status once he moved to defensive tackle.
Difficult choices were made along the way.
