Jaquiski Tartt back at practice with 49ers

Jaquiski Tartt started eight games last season for the San Francisco 49ers at strong safety following a season-ending injury to Antoine Bethea. Tartt played well, too. With Bethea back, however, Tartt’s role will change this season, but he will still be an incredibly important piece to the 49ers (potentially weak) defensive unit.

Tartt had been on the Non-Football Injury list because of a pulled leg muscle. As of Saturday, however, Tartt is back on the field getting prepared for the NFL season.

Tartt will likely see action in nickel and dime packages over the standard 3-4, but with the NFL now being a pass happy league, this will mean Tartt will still see plenty of action, despite not being a starter.
