The San Francisco 49ers turned a lot of heads after their 20-3 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 on Monday Night Football.
And running back Carlos Hyde certainly turned the most heads after his breakout performance.
Hyde’s stat line from Monday night reads like this: 26 carries for 168 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry.
The second-year back is no longer taking a back seat to former 49ers running back Frank Gore. With the franchise’s all-time leading rusher now with the Indianapolis Colts, 2015 will mark the season in which Hyde should emerge as the next great ground threat the 49ers have on offense.
