The 49ers practiced Wednesday afternoon, and there were a handful of players that sat out.
Richard Sherman, who had a stinger during Sunday’s game that caused him to miss five plays, practiced. K’Waun Williams was practicing in a non-contact blue jersey. Williams exited Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. If there is ever a week for the 49ers to be cautious with injuries, this is the week. D.J. Reed filled in nicely in the slot with Williams not playing, so this could be a chance for him to step in.
