Injury updates: Jordan Mason and Malik Mustapha avoid bad news

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan provided injury updates on a conference call Friday afternoon. There were no significant injuries, but the Niners may have their eyes set on another kicker as they await the MRI for Matthew Wright.

Shanahan said that Wright’s shoulder was dislocated: “Came out for a little bit. We just need more info.” Wright has a chance to play in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but Shanahan said, “Now, we have to look into someone else,” if Wright is unable to go.

Safety Malik Mustapha avoided the high-ankle sprain that sidelines athletes for multiple weeks.
