SANTA CLARA – St. Louis Rams rookie running back Todd Gurley, the league’s No. 3 rusher, is doubtful to face the 49ers on Sunday in the season finale for both teams.
Gurley is listed as doubtful with a foot injury. He has reportedly been wearing an orthopedic boot all week as the Rams practiced in Napa after playing at Seattle a week ago.
Gurley has 1,106 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns and was voted to the Pro Bowl. When the 49ers faced the Rams earlier this season, Gurley tore up the 49ers’ defense with 133 yards rushing, including a 71-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
