Injury report: Carlos Hyde tests shoulder hitting sled, optimistic

SANTA CLARA -- Running back Carlos Hyde sounded optimistic Thursday about his chances of returning to action this week when the 49ers face the Arizona Cardinals.

Hyde missed the past two games with an injured AC joint in his right shoulder. He also had a week to rest during the bye. The 49ers listed Hyde as limited during practice, but he said he participated in the entire session on Thursday.

Hyde wore a blue jersey, signifying he was off-limits for contact. He said he did get some contact with a blocking sled.

“It’s definitely less painful,” Hyde said.
