SANTA CLARA -– Tight end Vance McDonald did not take part in 49ers practice Wednesday due to a hip injury. His status for Sunday’s game remains in question.
McDonald and cornerback Jimmie Ward, who sustained a right quadriceps strain against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, were the only 49ers who were held out of practice. McDonald's injury also occurred in the first half of Sunday's game.
The 49ers play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium. Ward is expected to miss multiple games due to his injury.
Tight end Garrett Celek took part in limited practice Wednesday with a back injury.
