The San Francisco 49ers are just days away from training camp, with the first open practice scheduled for next Thursday.
At this stage of the offseason, the 49ers have a good idea of how their roster looks heading into the upcoming season, but training camp provides the opportunity for players to compete for roster spots and climb up the depth chart.
One of the intriguing positions this offseason is the offensive line, as that may be the lone area on the offense where a starting spot could be up for grabs.
Back during organized team activities (OTAs) and minicamp, offensive line coach Chris Foerster indicated there’d be a three-way competition between Jon Feliciano, Spencer Burford, and third-round pick Dominick Puni for the starting right guard job.
