CINCINNATI — Left tackle Joe Staley is arguably the most indispensible player on the 49ers roster, and he now faces a two-month recovery from a broken leg.
The 49ers? They face a dark dilemma: How do they replace their 13th-year veteran?
Staley presumably could return around Thanksgiving, perhaps for the Green Bay Packers’ first visit to Levi’s Stadium on Nov. 24; the Packers are off to a 2-0 start, as are the 49ers.
