The Houston Texans made a roster move on Tuesday, releasing recently signed quarterback Matt McGloin, and replacing him with quarterback Josh Johnson. Tom Savage is the Texans starting quarterback, and T.J. Yates is serving as his backup.
The Texans are the tenth team Josh Johnson has signed with since entering the NFL in 2008. He also spent part of 2012 with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL.
Josh Johnson last appeared in an NFL game in 2013. He last threw a regular season pass in 2011.
