The 49ers added more depth to their offensive line on Wednesday by signing Mike Person, a member of their once-acclaimed 2011 draft class.
Person was a seventh-round pick that season but is one of three players from that 10-man class who remains in the league. The others are center Daniel Kilgore (fifth round) and safety Colin Jones (sixth round). The second-round pick that year, quarterback Colin Kaepernick, has filed a grievance against the NFL alleging that the teams have colluded to keep him out.
Person played tackle at Montana State but was drafted to play guard. He's played at several spots along the offensive line for seven different teams.
