SANTA CLARA – Jarryd Hayne will be in uniform for his first regular-season NFL game on Monday night when the 49ers face the Minnesota Vikings at Levi’s Stadium.
Hayne, a reserve running back, could get into the action on punt and kickoff returns. Hayne was a standout on punt returns in the exhibition season with an average of 18.1 yards on nine returns.
Hayne will enter the game as the No. 3 running back, as the 49ers made rookie Mike Davis inactive.
Eli Harold will be the 49ers' No. 3 outside linebacker behind starters Ahmad Brooks and Aaron Lynch, as Corey Lemonier is inactive.
