Handling Seahawks pressure a key for 49ers’ Nick Mullens in Week 15

The San Francisco 49ers were blown out 43-16 by the Seattle Seahawks two weeks ago at CenturyLink Field, although quarterback Nick Mullens wasn’t exactly the problem.

The second-year pro went 30-of-48 for 414 yards, two touchdowns against an interception and boasted a passer rating of 95.3 — not terrible numbers for a Niners quarterback in a venue where his predecessors haven’t exactly had much success as of late.

Granted, a good portion of those stats came in garbage time, essentially, when the game was largely decided. But that doesn’t change the fact he played relatively well and above expectations that game.
