Jeff Nixon has been in the NFL since 2007 working primarily with running backs. In his stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (pre-Kelly era) and the Miami Dolphins he has earned respect around the league.
It appears Nixon is up for a new challenge — and a big one at that — as he takes over a San Francisco 49ers tight end group that was incredibly disappointing in 2015.
From Vernon Davis‘ poor play and eventual trade to the Denver Broncos to Vance McDonald‘s consistent inconsistency and Blake Bell‘s raw promise, last season’s tight ends were very difficult and painful to watch.
