Fooch dug up this really good Sports Illustrated Bill Walsh article from around the time he [Walsh] passed away. After reading it, I couldn’t help but shake my head when Jim Harbaugh’s name was mentioned. It was like a twisting of the knife of all the events that happened. I’m not saying I was a fan of Jim Harbaugh, and I’m not saying I wanted him kicked off the team, but the guy could flat out coach and was a helluva lot better than what the 49ers were stuck with after.
