In 2018, the 49ers wide receiving corps was a disappointment. Whether it was injuries (Garcon, Pettis, Taylor), personal issues (Goodwin), inexperience (Bourne, James), or poor QB play (CJ Beathard), the group severely underperformed given the fact that they were playing for one of the premier offensive minds in the league in HC Kyle Shanahan.
But 2019 is a new year, and with it comes the promise of a much improved wide recieving group. Additions such as rookies Deebo Samuel and Jalen Hurd add a physicality that was missing at the position in 2018.
