In the opening monologue of the classic film “The Big Lebowski”, Sam Elliott as the narrator says:
“..sometimes there’s a man. I won’t say a hero, ‘cause what’s a hero? ... But sometimes. There’s a man who, well, he’s the man for his time’n place, he fits right in there. And that’s the Dude.. “
And in the movie, that man was The Dude. But for the 49ers, in 2017, that man was C.J. Beathard.
You see, when Shanahan and Lynch took over the 49ers in early 2017, the team was in shambles, and there wasn’t a single QB on the roster.
