Well that was fun wasn't it. The 49ers had needs at a couple positions and Trent Baalke decided to not worry about it. The 2 biggest positions of need were wide receiver and cornerback. A receiver that will probably not contribute this season was drafted in the 4th round. No cornerbacks were drafted.
In the 1st 3 rounds, Trent Baalke selected defensive players. Out of the players selected in those rounds, Eli Harold made the most sense due to the unknown nature of our outside linebackers. Aldon, Aaron, and Ahmad are good players, but they may not be the most trustworthy players.
