The San Francisco 49ers were down to 2 quarterbacks after Sunday’s game. Thad Lewis, as expected, was placed on the injury reserve list and will be out for the rest of the season. Colin Kaepernick is still dealing with what is being called a “dead arm”. That leaves the team with only Blaine Gabbert and Jeff Driskel as the only healthy arms on the team.
On Tuesday, the team made a move to address their lack of depth at the quarterback position. Former 1st round pick, Christian Ponder, was signed to the roster. The 49ers now have 3 QBs from the 2011 NFL draft.
