Good morning 49ers fans. A bit of sad news was passed along on Thursday. Former San Francisco 49ers center Fred Quillan passed away on Monday, at the age of 60. The Oregon product joined the team as a seventh round draft pick in 1978, and played ten seasons with the franchise, including the 1981 and 1984 Super Bowl years He appeared in 143 games, starting 129, along with 11 career playoff games (10 starts). He was named to consecutive Pro Bowls in 1984 and 1985. Condolences to his family.
