As you’ve likely heard by now, 49er great Dwight Clark has announced his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, an incurable disease of the nervous system. Not one to back down, Clark has pledged to fight like hell, and has garnered support of 49er teammates far and wide. Over the past decade plus, former Saint Steve Gleason has largely become the face of ALS in the sports media, and has done excellent work in raising awareness and fundraising for cause. Despite a bad situation, hopefully Clark might join up with Gleason to continue championing this cause.
In other news, Quinton Patton has received a modicum of attention in Free Agency.
