Chip Kelly offered some optimism about Glenn Dorsey’s status for the 49ers-Rams season opener. The practice report dunked that optimism in a bucket of cold water.
The San Francisco 49ers defensive line is a potential strength for the 2016 season, but depth could be a concern early in the season. Glenn Dorsey has been rehabbing his torn ACL all offseason, and has not taken part in team drills, accordin to defensive coordinator Jim O’Neil. That continued on Thursday, as he was listed in the first practice participation report of the season as “Did Not Participate.”
Earlier in the day, head coach Chip Kelly said he thinks Dorsey remains on track to be available for Week 1 Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.
