The Minnesota Vikings are looking for cornerback depth, and it appears they are sniffing around a now former member of the San Francisco 49ers. The Vikings brought in free agent cornerback Dontae Johnson for a visit, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.
This marks Johnson’s first reported visit in free agency. He started all 16 games last season, but it was a struggle at times for the lengthy cornerback. He was benched a couple times during games, but he managed to remain in the starting lineup. Greg Mabin appeared set to replace him, but a calf injury cost him his shot.
