Frank Gore carried quite a workload for the 2006 San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers had plenty of problems in the mid-2000s, culminating with the worst record in the league in 2004, and the No. 1 draft pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Alex Smith was the top pick, but the 49ers made a franchise-altering move in the third round when they selected running back Frank Gore.

Frank Gore was the heart and soul of the 49ers offense for the last decade, but in 2006, Gore put up a percentage of the 49ers offense that was ridiculous. Gore finished the 2006 season with 2,180 yards from scrimmage.
