On Sunday, the former college teammates will meet again as NFL opponents when the San Francisco 49ers visit the New York Giants. Reid was asked about Beckham on Wednesday regarding the receiver’s rapid ascent as one of the top pass-catchers in the NFL.
The safety knew Beckham had rare ability, but there was no predicting just how quickly the receiver would become a legit superstar.
“I thought that he would be one of the elite receivers in this league,” Reid began. “I just didn’t think it would happen so fast. He’s done a ton of stuff in just one year.
