Michael Wilhoite, a former 49ers linebacker and current Broncos outside linebackers coach, was arrested Sunday after he allegedly punched a police officer in the face while waiting in the drop-off line at the Denver International Airport, according to multiple reports.
According to documents obtained by KUSA-TV, a station based in Denver, Wilhoite left his car unattended in the second lane of the departure area. When an officer told Wilhoite he could not do that, Wilhoite told the officer to “shut the (expletive) up” twice before allegedly chest-bumping the officer, the documents said. When the officer shoved Wilhoite, the coach allegedly responded by punching the officer.
