Former 49ers linebacker Chris Borland has no regrets from walking away from an NFL career.
``Intellectually, I know it's a sound decision,'' Borland told the Washington Post in an extensive story that ran Tuesday. ``So I don't regret that. More information has come out since I walked away that kind of reaffirmed my decision.''Borland, who abruptly retired in March of 2015, is working as an unpaid intern in the mental program at the Carter Center in Atlanta.Although he said he is in contact often with some his former 49ers teammates, Borland said he didn't watch a single game last season and doesn't ever envision coaching or being involved in the sport.
