Former 49ers kicker Robbie Gould announced Tuesday that he is leaving the high school head coaching job he took one year after announcing his retirement from the NFL.

Gould officially called it a career last December after 18 seasons — his last six were with San Francisco — and became the head football coach of Rolling Meadows High School in the Chicago suburbs in February. The kicker spent most of his career in the Windy City with the Bears.

“I’m so proud of the progress we’ve made together at Rolling Meadows,” he said in a statement, per NBC Chicago.
