Eric Reid, a safety who joined quarterback Colin Kaepernick in kneeling for the national anthem as a protest for police brutality, had some sharp words for his former boss Saturday night on Twitter.
Torrey Smith, the recently retired former 49ers wide receiver, took issue with Reid’s stance.
Reid wasn’t impressed with the pledge of 49ers owner Jed York to donate $1 million to “local organizations who are creating change” in the wake of the the death of George Floyd at the knee of a Minneapolis police officer on May 25.
