The San Francisco 49ers have seen their contract situation with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk drag out far into this offseason, with the disgruntled star recently requesting a trade less than two weeks before training camp.
Aiyuk and the 49ers have been negotiating for months now, but the process has seemed like a rollercoaster ride, up until the point where the wideout requested a trade on Tuesday.
On the Pat McAfee Show, NFL insider Mike Florio revealed that there was significant interest for Aiyuk at the time of the 2024 NFL Draft, with several teams willing to pay Aiyuk his desired contract.
