The Pro Football Hall of Fame will induct a new class of talent on Saturday, and with that will come their speeches. Seven years ago, the greatest wide receiver in NFL history was inducted in Canton. Jerry Rice was a slam dunk, and he very well might have been able to get inducted just based on his performance in his 30s and 40s. From 30 onward, Rice had 1,023 receptions, 13,823 yards, and 104 touchdowns. Based on current rankings, those numbers would rank 14th, 14th, and tied for eighth, respectively.
On Thursday, the 49ers Facebook page posted a portion of Jerry Rice’s induction speech.
