As questions loom over whether the San Francisco 49ers will give their two disgruntled offensive stars the big paydays they’re looking for, the team announced a $200 million spending spree on Levi’s Stadium.
While the price tag is roughly equal to a couple of 49ers stars, you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who would consider these improvements as exciting as, say, Christian McCaffrey and Nick Bosa.
The upgrades to Levi’s Stadium, which opened in 2014, are as follows: a revamped Wi-Fi system, cashierless ordering kiosks for concessions, updated furniture and “technology” for luxury suites, a new video board — which the Niners say will be the largest 4K display in the NFL — and some new energy-efficient LED lighting.
