Quarterbacks coach Steve Logan brought up some interesting points in discussing the passing game. Here are a few of those comments.
The San Francisco 49ers invested in speed options this offseason, signing wide receiver Torrey Smith and running back Reggie Bush. Prior to Vernon Davis's struggles last season, he was the primary speed threat for this team. The team would love to see him revert to his earlier form, but if he can't, Smith and Bush will be viewed as the guys who can spread things out a bit with their speed.
Last week, quarterbacks coach Steve Logan talked about the offense and looking for "explosion plays" in the passing game.
