Smith, 35, the 49ers’ All-Pro defensive tackle who retired in May, has joined Missouri’s football program as a part-time, weight-room assistant, the school announced Thursday.
Smith, who attended Missouri, made an immediate impression on Tigers center Evan Boehm, who is 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds.
