According to a crime report by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia, sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a home around 9 p.m. on Jan. 31. That person who apparently shot himself with his own gun was former San Francisco 49ers WR Josh Morgan.
According to the report, Morgan was ‘cleaning his gun’ when the firearm was accidentally discharged. Morgan was then transported to the hospital where it was declared he suffered a non-threatening gun shot wound.
Originally a sixth-round pick (No. 174) of the 2008 NFL Draft, Morgan would play for the 49ers for four seasons before moving on with Washington.
