Former 49ers safety Craig Dahl signed with the New York Giants and was on the team's practice field Monday morning.
The 49ers released Dahl on Friday, as the team decided to keep five safeties on the 53-man roster. The 49ers retained Antoine Bethea, Eric Reid, Jimmie Ward, Jaquiski Tartt and L.J. McCray.
