SAN JOSE -- The legal team defending former San Francisco 49er star Dana Stubblefield has launched an all-out media offensive against the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and its charges that he raped a mentally disabled woman at his Morgan Hill home, accusing both prosecutors and the alleged victim of seeking political and financial gain.
In a press conference Tuesday at the Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, where he is a member of the congregation, Stubblefield proclaimed his innocence against charges of rape and forced oral copulation of a person incapable of giving consent, and false imprisonment.
