ESPN botches Aaron Rodgers graphic during Jets-49ers MNF game

Related Topics: Aaron Rodgers, ESPN

Following a San Francisco 49ers' field goal at the the start of the second quarter of the team's season opener at Levi's Stadium, ESPN keyed up a graphics package for Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to accompany a Joe Buck segue into the commercial break: "Rodgers heads back to the field with his team — look at that smile, happy guy — leading by one."

One problem: ESPN misspelled Rodgers' name.

Normally a misspelled name in Week 1 of the NFL season wouldn't be all that uncommon, but misspelling the name of a first ballot Hall-of-Famer your network has been hyping up all week — including in a Good Morning America hit Monday morning — is probably a bit less so.
