The Philadelphia Eagles have some issues at wide receiver, but the team decided Josh Huff did not provide enough talent to deal with a recent issue. The team released Huff on Thursday, two days after he was arrested for possession of marijuana and a gun and hollow point bullet magazine without a permit.
Huff departs the Eagles with 13 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown. The Eagles drafted him out of Oregon with a third round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He has served as a receiver and punt returner thus far. He will be subject to waivers, which means any of the other 31 teams can place a claim on him.
