Eagles cut McLeod Bethel-Thompson, ending bid with seventh football team

It seems as good a time as any to look back at the timeline of his slightly bizarre football career.

The long journey of quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson is set to take yet another turn. The Philadelphia Eagles waived the one-time San Francisco 49ers quarterback on Tuesday to make room for another signing.

I bring this up because McBLT had three stints with the 49ers, and has had a rather remarkable NFL career. He has never actually played in a regular season NFL game, but he somehow has been signed by five different teams. I mention seven above because he also played for an Arena Football team and a team in the short-lived United Football League.
