The San Francisco 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football to open the season, and we clearly have a game-changer. The Rams have signed former 49ers quarterback Dylan Thompson, according to Ian Rapoport. The 49ers released Thompson on May 6, a week after drafting Louisiana Tech quarterback Jeff Driskel. Thompson spent a month in the 49ers offseason workout program, so clearly he will pass along all the secrets of Chip Kelly's offense.
On a slightly more serious note, this could move the Rams a step closer to figuring out a way to get rid of Nick Foles.
