Well, Darnell Dockett’s stint with the 49ers was short lived. Reports are that the 49ers informed Darnell Dockett of his release today.
The 49ers signed Dockett not to long after the Cardinals released him in the offseason. Dockett was coming off an ACL injury where he missed all of 2014.
The team signed him to a two-year worth $7.5 million with $2 million of that guaranteed.
Dockett never really got a chance to get on the field in the preseason, which then opened up more time for the likes of Jerod-Eddie, Purcell and rookie Arik Armstead.
