Colin Kaepernick or Derek Carr: Which QB has more upside?

I have met enough people from the California to know that in the Bay Area, everything boils down to one question: 49ers or Raiders?

Both teams are not only geographical rivals, but they are also amongst the most storied franchises in the NFL, sharing eight Super Bowl championships. For most of the new century however, both shared in being bottom feeders in the league.

From 2000 to 2009, the 49ers averaged 6.8 wins, while the Raiders average 6.2 wins a season, good enough for 26th and 28th, respectively. Both shared another feature in common- neither team was set at QB.
